Intel Ethernet Controller Driver Windows Xp Sp3 Free Download

If life were only that simple! gboanna, you're going to need more, a lot more, than just Network Interface Controller (NIC) drivers after a fresh Windows XP install! (I take it you don't have the Drivers and Utilities CD described in the Dell Latitude D505 System Information Guide ?) Does your sound work? What video driver does the Device Manager say Windows XP using? (I'd bet it was generic!) You really want to use the drivers Dell provides before you use anything Windows (and Windows Update) selects....

You're going to need all the embedded device drivers, IntelĀ® chipset utility, missing Dell applications, utilities, updates, etc. available at the Dell support site.

This page contains the driver installation download for Video Controller (VGA Compatible) in supported models (AWRDACPI) that are running a supported operating system. Video Controller (VGA Compatible) Driver for INTELR - AWRDACPI working on Microsoft Windows XP Professional. Device Name: Video Controller (VGA Compatible).

Otherwise, you're going to have to go to the more general Dell Latitude D505 support page (reached by selecting 'laptop', 'Latitude' and 'D505') and then selecting from fifteen (15!) different NIC drivers. BTW, I think the RJ-45 network connector on the back of the Latitude D505 is for an IntelĀ® PRO/100 VE Network Connection driver as it is the only unshielded twisted-pair Ethernet (AKA RJ-45) driver in the list. Be sure to download and and install only the drivers, etc. that you need. I'm quite sure that you've only got one of the fourteen wireless NICs you can chose from! Write back if you need more help! Good luck!

Universal serial bus (USB) controllers are implemented as part of the Windows XP Service Pack 3 operating system. USB controllers are drivers that allow your USB devices, the USB ports and the computer to interface. If you are having issues with your USB devices, you may need to update the native drivers on your Windows XP SP3 computer.

Click 'Start' and right-click 'My Computer'.

Select 'Properties'. Click 'Hardware' in the System Property window that appears. Click the 'Device Manager' button.

Click 'Universal Serial Bus Controllers'. Right-click each USB Universal Host Controller and choose 'Update Driver', one at a time. Click 'Next' and 'Finish'.

Go to your motherboard or USB PCI card manufacturer's website if Windows XP SP3 does not have any updated drivers for your USB controller. Click the support or download sections to determine if a full motherboard update or a USB update is available. Double-click the downloaded driver file and click 'Next' through the driver installation wizard to install any available updates. The installation process does vary slightly depending on the manufacturer, but most driver installations are straightforward.

Restart your computer to complete the USB driver installation.
